  • TOGETHER! and Thurston County Public Health Team Up to Bring Free Immunizations to Tumwater

    Tumwater School District and TOGETHER! have been working together for years to bring necessary in-school support to the students of Tumwater and beyond. One of their most powerful and popular programs is the annual Back to Basics event series, where volunteers from the medical community come together to provide back-to-school care to students at no cost. The summer’s second and final Back to Basics event was a free immunization clinic. Immunizations were performed by Thurston County Public Health and Thurston County Medical Reserve Corps.

    In an effort to get more kids in Thurston County fully immunized before the start of the school year, the Little Red Schoolhouse Project will partner with Thurston County Health and the Thurston County Medical Reserve Corps to provide all school-required immunizations at no cost at this year's Back to School supply distribution day.
  • Cannon Beach National Night Out breaks records

    In a record-breaking year, more than 150 people participated in Cannon Beach’s fourth annual National Night Out event. National Night Out is a nationwide event intended to build better relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve. New this year, volunteer groups like the Medical Reserve Corps and Community Emergency Response Team had tables with information in the hopes of recruiting more volunteers.
