The Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is a national network of volunteers committed to improving the public health, emergency response, and resiliency of their communities. In the past, MRC volunteers in Harris County have helped with anything from assisting with the City of Houston’s H1N1 Vaccination Clinic, to helping deliver Meals on Wheels to the elderly, to staffing shelters with medical needs after a hurricane. In all of those situations, volunteer medical support was desperately needed and the Medical Reserve Corps of Harris County helped fill those needs with trained volunteers.
