Sacramento Medical Reserve Corps The SMRC annually staffs aid and relay stations and the finish line for the CA International Marathon, put on by the Sacramento Runners Association with University of CA, Davis Medical Center as the medical lead. Our members treat runners in need of medical care, sweep the finish line for people in distress and take them to the medical tent for treatment.
Monroe County Medical Reserve Corps MRC Volunteers are invited to assist with the annual Emergency Preparedness Expo featuring approximately 18 local agencies sharing emergency preparedness literature, displays and games for children. MRC Volunteers will distribute FEMA Financial Emergency Preparedness EFFAK booklets among other preparedness materials at the Mall of Monroe.
Sacramento Medical Reserve Corps The SMRC will staff a first aid tent at the CA Capitol Air Show from Fri., Sept. 21st to Sun., Sept. 23rd to support Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District. Our busy team of medical and support volunteers treat patients with heat/sun related illnesses, cuts, scrapes and blisters. A popular addition to our services last year was a misting tent next to our first aid station that allowed many air show patrons to self medicate and get out of the heat and cool off lowering the number of people who needed medical care.
North Iowa CERT & MRC Our team will be sending over 28 personnel to Kossuth County for a full scale exercise involving our state USAR, DMAT, DMORT and Incident Management teams, along with emergency responders from Kossuth county for two days of joint training culminating in the two day full scale exercise.
Paulding County Medical Reserve Corps The Paulding County Fair runs June 11-15, 2018. The Medical Reserve Corps will be recruiting potential volunteers and providing personal preparedness information.
